  • Residential Tax Abatement

    An application for tax abatement will be considered for new construction and those projects that add substantial improvements to the property (increases of 20% or more in assessed valuation). The tax abatement schedule will be for five years as fallow:

    Year 1 100% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
    Year 2 80% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
    Year 3 60% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
    Year 4 40% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
    Year 5 20% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation

  • Commercial and Industrial Tax Abatement
  • An application for tax abatement will be considered for new construction or improvement to existing facility and/or equipment assessed as real estate for commercial or industrial real estate.

         3 year 100% abatement or 10 year sliding scale abatement    

Year 1 - 80%    Year 6 - 40%  
Year 2 - 70% Year 7 - 30%
Year 3 - 60% Year 8 - 30% 
Year 4 - 50% Year 9 - 20%
