Welcome to the Newell Public Library. The library is your one stop source for all of your informational needs! We have a large selection of books, magazines, newspapers, electronic resources and more available to be checked out by our library card holders.

Hours: 
Monday: 2PM to 8PM
Tuesday: 2PM to 5PM
Wednesday: 2PM to 5PM
Thursday: 10AM to 12PM and 1PM to 5PM
Friday: 2PM to 5PM
Saturday: 9AM to 11AM

Library Card: Anyone may receive a library card. However, any child under the age of 8 must have permission and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. To apply, you can stop in and request a registration card or visit our website to apply online.

Loan Period: Persons with a valid library card, may request that the Newell Public Library borrow items from another library if we do not have it in our collection. Requests need to be known at least 2 weeks prior to the date needed. It takes about a week to receive said item. If it is a larger request (usually for book club purposes) we ask that we have the order 2 months prior to the date needed. There is no charge for this service.

Computers and Technology: The Newell Public Library has public computers and technology for patron access. We offer printing and faxing as well with small fees. We have free wireless internet available to all persons.

Online Resources: We offer a plethora of online services to our patrons. This includes eBooks and Audiobooks through Bridges by Overdrive. We have multiple search engines that are great places for research. We also have a newspaper archive for patron use and job help resources. This can all be located on our website.

Programming: We offer different types of programming throughout the year for all ages. Our most popular is our Summer Reading Program. This is offered to all ages, and there are weekly events for school aged children to attend. We also work closely with the Newell-Fonda preschool and Mustang Childcare to have monthly storytimes.
