Residential Tax Abatement Schedule

An application for tax abatement will be considered for new construction and those projects that add substantial improvements to the property (increases of 20% or more in assessed valuation). The tax abatement schedule will be for five years as follows:

  • Year 1 - 100% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
  • Year 2 - 80% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
  • Year 3 - 60% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
  • Year 4 - 40% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation
  • Year 5 - 20% of the first $75,000 on increased assessed valuation

Commercial / Industrial Tax Abatement Schedule

An application for tax abatement will be considered for new construction or improvement to existing facility and/or equipment assessed as real estate for commercial or industrial real estate.

3 year 100% abatement or the 10 year sliding scale abatement below

  • Year 1 - 80%
  • Year 2 - 70%
  • Year 3 - 60%
  • Year 4 - 50%
  • Year 5 - 40%
  • Year 6 - 40%
  • Year 7 - 30%
  • Year 8 - 30%
  • Year 9 - 20%
  • Year 10 - 20%
