Bills are mailed monthly on the 15th and are due the 1st of the following month. Bills include water, sewer and garbage.
New customers are required to have a letter of credit from previous utility or a deposit of $150.00.
Rates per month:
Water
1st 1333 gal Min. $15.15
Each 1000 gal thereafter $2.72 per 1000 gal
Sewer
1st 1333 gal Min. $12.36
Each 1000 gal thereafter $2.72 per 1000 gal
Water Meter Rent $1.00
Rates per month are equal to the amount of the water billed.
Sewer surcharge is billed monthly at $9.25, which is to go towards paying the bonding for the new sewer lagoon system. Tax will be added to bills also.

Garbage Service
Garbage for residential and small businesses is picked up by Carroll Refuse and billed through the City of Newell.
Garbage and Recyclables are picked up on Wednesdays in the bins provided. Recyclables are to be bagless in the bin and garbage can be in bags. Bins are to be 1 1/2' apart for the truck to pick up.
